Proposed Solutions:

I developed a series of other ideas throughout the design process as well, which could serve as potential solutions to the problem. These Ideas include:

Hedge Trimmer Attachment: A basic box-style attachment that is designed to ergonomically connect to a pair of hedge trimmers, and collect the debris automatically as it falls. While it works in theory, it is not very far-reaching and/or broad. It is not applicable to many yard cleanup situations.

Leaf Vacuum: A basic rake, with a complicated mechanism behind that allows it to suck in leaves from the ground, without the user bending or exerting significant force. While the idea has the potential to work, it is simply a leaf-blower attached to a rake. It is also somewhat unrealistic to use, as it had the potential to be quite heavy.

Biogas Catcher: This was a product designed to catch falling debris from trees, hedges, and bushes, and convert the resulting matter into biogas. This product, however, was incredibly niche - the energy created would be minuscule with the input of falling leaves. In addition, it would be heavy, and inconvenient to cary around a yard.
