Design Criteria

 

A series of criteria were used to evaluate the design in the design selection matrix. A series of questions were asked, and each product was scored based on its usefulness in each category. The Questions are listed below:

 

  • Ease of Use - is the product accessible to the average consumer? 

  • Durability - will the product last a long time? Can it withstand tough yard terrain? 

  • Effort Required - How much work will the user have to do?

  • Speed of Lawn Clean - How long will the user be forced to work, relatively? 

  • Versatility - Is the solution applicable to a variety of situations? 

  • Ease of Maintenance - How easy is the product to repair in case of damage? 

  • Realistic - Will the use of this product actually convenience individuals? 

  • Success at Leaf Pick-Up - Is the product able to successfully clean the yard? 

  • Far-Reaching - Can this product cover large areas, or is it limited in scope?
